Pool Sealing with NSG Co. Products
The pools have different finishing layers among which the cement membrane is discussed underneath:
As NSG products are water-based and are not able to adhere strongly to the oil-based surfaces, the surface should be free of any extraneous material by exfoliating the surface.
Step 1
Clean the entire surface from petroleum-based materials; remove all loose parts of the structure that have not adhered properly to the structure; and finally, remove all pool junctions and joints if they are hollow or fissured.
Step 2
If there are deep or surface cracks on the wall or the floor of the pool, open the cracks in a V shape and clean them.
Step 3
Repair the cracks to uniform the surface by NSG-N50, a product with %25 Waterproofing and a %75 strengthening properties. This product should be used as a repair mortar, which consists of water, NSG-N50, cement, and silica. Use sand instead of silica in the cases that the coating should be done in thicker layers.
Step 4
Apply cement fillet for the needed spots with NSG products.
Step 5
At this stage, the structure is fully (%100) sealed. Now apply NSG-Z9, the product with %100 sealing property, based on the procedure 222 (This procedure consists of two steps, each is done 2 times).
Step 5-1
Mix NSG-Z90 with water in a 1:1 ratio (one unit of water + one unit of NSG-Z90). This mixture can be used on the wall and the floor by a paintbrush and/or pistol such that the entire surface is smeared with this material. This should be done twice (Do it once and redo it after drying).
Step 5-2
Apply the NSG-Z90 grout which is the combination of NSG-Z90, water, cement, silica or powder based on the following instruction: Apply this grout on the wall and the floor with a paintbrush to the extent that the whole surface is coated. Then, redo it again after drying.
Note: In the spots that are under tensile and bending stresses (such as concrete fillets and corners etc.) it is necessary to use NSG-PLC mesh after applying NSG-Z90 grout and fill all the mesh fountains with the grout.
Step 5-3
In this step, which is the final step use NSG-Z90 according to the instructions described in step 5-1.
Note: In the cases that the final surface needs to be painted, water-based paints can be used. For this purpose, apply a mixture of 3 units of paint (instead of water) and 1 unit of NSG-Z90 in step 5-3.
