The final surface of the garden, flower box and the roof garden is soil which is planted. Therefore, the first step for their insulation is to evacuate the soil to be able to access the main bearing surface of the structure. If there is a layer of traditional insulator such as bituminous water proofing membrane under the soil, it should be removed because it is not possible to apply NSG Co products on this layer (because these layers are petroleum based while NSG products are water-based).

After removing the bituminous waterproofing mambrane and cleaning the entire surface, defective and porous parts need to be repaired with the mortar made by NSG-N50. Then, a layer of cementitious mortar should be coated on the surface with NSG-B70. This layer smoothes the surface while it is considered as the foundation of the substrate of the main insulation layer.
In the next step, mix NSG-Z90 with water in a 1:1 ration (1 unit of water + 1 unit of NSG-Z90) and apply it twice on the surface. Then, produce a grout with this product (NSG-Z90) by mixing 1 unit of NSG-Z90 with 1 unit of water + 1 unit of cement + 2 units of stone powder and coat the surface with it. Then, use NSG-PLC mesh followed by the second coating of NSG-Z90 grout. The reason for applying NSG-PLC mesh is that this product controls bending and tensile stresses and prevents the insulation layer to crack (especially around embedded pipes and construction joints).
In the end, mix NSG-Z90 with water again to coat the whole surface twice as a resin (same as the first 2 coatings).
